Maria's family has requested that donations be made to one of three causes.
- Throughout her life, Maria supported her autistic brother, Andrew, who is 49 and lives in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. This support allowed him to thrive in a community of people who care for and understand him. In 2006, Andrew won a Volunteer of the Year award for his work at a Lock Haven nursing home.
The Leaveys are establishing a trust to support Andrew in the future. Checks can be made out to "Ann Leavey, as a trustee under the will of Maria Leavey," and sent to Ann Leavey, 3300 Tom Green St, Apartment 3, Austin TX 78705.
